Ingredients
- 60 g
vegan butter
- 60 g
plain flour
- 500 ml
soy milk
- 250 ml
white wine (you can use veg stock or more soy milk if you prefer)
- 100 g
Violife block, finely grated
- 100 g
Applewood Vegan Smokey Cheese, finely grated
- 140 g
dairy-free Cheddar (we used Cathedral City)
Smoked paprika, to sprinkle
- 50 g
crispy onions
Parsley, to garnish
Directions
- Step 1 In a saucepan over a medium heat and melt your vegan butter and add the flour and mix until a roux is formed, about 2-3minutes.
- Step 2Add your soy milk and wine and cook over a high heat until thickened, about 4 minutes.
- Step 3Add in your cheeses and melt slowly, whisking continuously. Allow the melted cheese to boil to eliminate any lumps.
- Step 4Remove from heat, pour into fondue bowl and top with paprika, crispy onions and parsley. Serve with crudités of your choice.
