Chilli baked bean dip

Give baked beans a new lease of life

Baked beans are the perfect base for this dip. Use cream cheese or sour cream, whatever you fancy, to make this bubbling dip, perfect with buttery sourdough.

Ingredients

  • 1

    large onion, finely diced

  • 1 Tbsp.

    olive oil

  • 1 tsp.

    salt

  • 2

    x 400g tins chilli baked beans

  • 1 Tbsp.

    paprika

  • 1 Tbsp.

    chipotle chilli flakes

  • 2 Tbsp.

    sour cream (or cream cheese)

  • Small handful coriander

Directions

    1. Step 1Preheat your oven to 200ºC (180ºC Fan).
    2. Step 2In a large frying pan over medium heat, add olive oil and onion with salt and fry until soft and translucent, about 5-10 minutes.
    3. Step 3Tip in both tins of baked beans. Add in your paprika and chipotle flakes.
    4. Step 4Transfer to an oven safe dish and bake for 30-45 minutes until rich and dark.
    5. Step 5Spoon over sour cream or cream cheese and swirl through, sprinkle over coriander and serve with toasted crusty bread.
