Rosé sangria
Get ready, you're going to be drinking this allll summer long

As soon as summer hits, we'll take any excuse to drink a bottle of rosé. Let's face it, a glass of blush during summer is an absolute must! But this year, we're all about rosé sangria. The summer drink of dreams! Just a handful of ingredients, lots of ice and some cute tumblers, and you've got a batch cocktail guaranteed to impress.
What is traditional sangria made of?
Traditional sangria is typically made with a combination of red wine, chopped fruit, orange juice, and another form of alcohol, like brandy.
Is sangria stronger than wine?
If you're new to drinking sangria, then you might be wondering whether it's as strong, if not stronger than drinking wine in general. This very much depends on how the sangria's made. Often, sangria can be made with a good glug of brandy too, these sorts of recipes obviously have a higher volume of alcohol than say, a sangria made with only wine.
Our recipe uses rosé wine as well as a good measure of grapefruit gin – so you could say she's fairly boozy!
What goes well with rosé in sangria?
The beauty of sangria is that pretty much anything goes. You can throw in as many, or as little fruit as you like. You can opt for more red fruits (strawberries, raspberries) or stick with stone fruits like peaches and plums. Slice and dice it however you like, and plonk it in once you're ready to go. The point is for you to customise it, and make it your own. Use this recipe as a guide, and start small – we've used a good mixture of fruits including sliced lemon, raspberries and grapefruit, and feel they work perfectly with the sweetness of the rosé.
