The list of vendors at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, which serves as the permanent playground for the Brooklyn Nets and a go-to stop for music's biggest names, reads like a guide to the borough's best hits: There are the ones with whom New Yorkers are on a first-name basis — Junior's, Nathan's — and newcomers — a coal-fired pizza spot, a shrine to chicken parms — that have become mainstays. This is the house that Jay-Z built, after all, so a healthy serving of Brooklyn pride is understandable — expected, even.

The brains behind the concessions refer to the collection as Brooklyn Taste, and the stuff each one peddles challenges the reputation of food court grub. Because it's not every day you see an oyster shucking cart at a basketball game or what's been dubbed New York's best cheesecake at a WWE match. Don't question it.
