When Guardians Of The Galaxy premiered, everybody couldn't stop talking about Chris Pratt: his abs, his one-liners ... did we mention his abs? But, by the end of the movie, an unlikely star stole his spotlight, and in the early trailers for the sequel, he's been a scene-stealer ever since.

Even though he only has one line. Repeated over and over again.

We're talking about Baby Groot. He was an immediate hit, inspiring gingerbread and shortbread cookies, as well as cupcakes sprouting the twiggy creature. In the weeks leading up to Guardians Of The Galaxy 2's premiere on May 5, we realized we needed to pay homage ourselves (because, apparently, we have a thing for nerding out over new movies — just see our Matilda cake, Clueless cookie dough log, and Suicide Squad Shots).

Since we're paying tribute to the sequel, this treat's two desserts in one: A peanut butter cookie with an Oreo "dirt"-covered chocolate pudding cup. It's absurdly easy to make, but truly, the best part is how you can use the cookie like a spoon, getting a little chocolate-peanut butter in every bite.

Start With Our Cheatsheet.

You could freehand Groot cookies, if you're all artsy like that — or you could print and cut out this stencil, tracing around it. So easy even Drax could do it, right?

Chill Out To Prevent Spreading.

Pro tip: Placing the dough on a baking sheet for 20 to 30 minutes before you bake them can prevent the dough from spreading. However, chubby Groots are even cuter, in our opinion, so you do you. We're going for personality here, not perfection.

Make It Your Own.

Black gel icing is the perfect match for Groot's gleaming eyes, but you could also use a dab of melted chocolate — or, for really big eyes — press in mini M&Ms before baking.

On that note, if chocolate pudding's not your thing, try vanilla. Or make banana pudding. There are no rules here.

The only challenge will be resisting the urge to sneak some into the theater. They're not exactly portable, but if you can put a lid on them, well, WORTH. IT.
