Food Network's Sandra Lee has penned another book, but this time it's not about cooking — it's about romance. Her first novel, The Recipe Box, is already gaining a lot of attention from the press even though it won't be released until July. The reason? The main character's love story bears a striking resemblance to the real story of Lee's relationship with long-time, live-in boyfriend Andrew Cuomo, who is New York's Governor.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Lee's main character, Grace D'Angelo, is a lot like Lee. Grace is an independent "Midwesterner who adores cooking, works in TV and dotes on the family pet, a beloved white cockatoo." You know who else owns a cockatoo? Sandra Lee. According to the Wall Street Journal, she received the pet from Governor Cuomo in 2011 as a Christmas gift and named it Phoenix.
Grace's love interest is Mike Lund, described by Lee as "muscular" with "curly brown hair and deep gray eyes." He's not a politician, though. Instead he's a teacher and a volunteer firefighter. Mike Lund is a fan of motorcycles and muscle cars. (Cuomo's preferred form of transportation is a Harley-Davidson.)

There are probably as many differences as there are similarities between the two couples, but perhaps the plot point that has made the Wall Street Journal most curious is that the main characters get engaged, unlike the real life couple. Some wonder if the plot point hints that Lee and Cuomo could wed sometime soon. The Wall Street Journal reports that when Lee was questioned about her book by someone, she told them that the book was purely fiction and was just the type of fiction that appealed to her target demographic of women.
Are you curious about Sandra Lee's new novel? Do you think Lee was hinting about her own love life?
