Rachael and husband John Cusimano almost never went on their first date.

The two met at a mutual friend's party, and when Cusimano (frontman of rock band The Cringe) told Ray about his cooking skills, she assumed he was gay. "I was going to set him up with a friend of mine — another handsome Italian man," Ray told People. Instead, she stayed out Cusimano until 4 a.m. — what she considers their first date.

They got engaged quickly.

On September 24, 2005, the couple was married in an Tuscan castle, Castello di Velona. The dinner menu was a collection of Ray and Cusimano's favorite dishes. Eventually, the two went on to honeymoon in Africa.

Talk of infidelity hit their marriage after just a year.

The account came from The Enquirer: A woman named Jeaninne Walz claimed she'd been involved with Cusimano before and during his relationship with Ray, and that he paid Walz to spit on him, among other degrading acts. Ray and Cusimano denied everything.

They decided not to have any kids.

Ray opened up to People about her family plans in 2007. "I work too much to be an appropriate parent," she admitted. "I just feel like I would do a bad job if I actually took the time to literally give birth to a kid right now and try and juggle everything I’m doing."

Allegedly, Cusimano made multiple visits to a swingers club in Manhattan called Checkmate. According to the source, he was spotted with a different escort every time.

Ray and Cusimano renewed their vows for their 10 year anniversary.

They want back to the same Italian castle and flew out 100 of their closest family and friends to celebrate with them. Ray recited poet Charles Bernstein's "All The Whiskey In Heaven," as her vows. “It basically says, ‘Under any circumstance, I would still choose you and I would still be with you. And I love you more than all the whiskey in heaven,'” Ray told People.
