If a donut and a cannoli had a baby...it would be this pastry. Dubbed the 'donnoli' by its creator Vincenzo Vaccaro of Big Vinny's Bakery, it's a donut-like dough stuffed with cannoli filling. It's two classic desserts in one!

It all starts with donut dough that's cut into equal pieces and rolled out into long strands. Those strands are wrapped around a small wooden rod (so the filling has a place to go) and the dough goes to rest and double in size. Then, the rested dough is fried for a few minutes on each side and cooled. The dowels are removed and cannoli filling is piped into the center.

If you think sounds good, prepare yourself because I haven't even gotten to the craziest part—the toppings. They have tons of flavors: a classic one with powdered sugar, Oreo, candied bacon, chocolate glaze, tiramisu, red velvet, carrot cake, strawberry, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Cocoa Puffs. That doesn't include their seasonal specials, either.

While every base was the same, you could still taste the different toppings. My favorites were the black & white, Oreo, and tiramisu. I admit I was a little skeptical of the donnoli and whether it would actually taste like a donut, but it was perfectly fluffy and light.
