The menu at Cilantro Lime doesn't beat around the bush: With categories like "Insta Famous Burritos," "Instagram Favorites," and the "Bloggers Menu," owner Leo Matias knows you're here in part for the 'gram. Lest you think this Mexican restaurant is all flash and no heart, though, check out what's sandwiched in between—"Mom's Famous Dishes," a section with Mexican classics like chile relleno, enchiladas, and a Saturday menudo special.

The two are equally responsible for helping Cilantro Lime get where it is today. After 20 years managing other people's restaurants, Leo decided to go out on his own. It wasn't all smooth sailing at first, so one day he briefly closed up shop and called in back up: his mom. She showed him how to cook some of those traditional recipes you'll find on the menu today.

As more people started coming in and blogger photos took off, Leo realized he could work with those customers to create even more eye-catching items. Hence, the Quesarrito. And the Flamin' Hot Cheetos-topped elote-style fries. And most definitely the burnt cheese quesadilla, with its cheese-lined edges and Hot Cheetos sandwiched inside. The symbiotic relationship is part of why you'll find hundreds of photos tagged with Cilantro Lime on social media—and why there's always something new coming down the pipeline from the mind of Leo, his friends, and food bloggers alike.

Delish tried a handful of dishes while visiting the Los Angeles restaurant—each one was a cheesy, delicious mess in the best way possible. Not all food made for the 'gram lives up to the hype, but the cheese shell tacos, overstuffed burritos, and massive fry platters from Cilantro Lime most definitely did.
