While Disney has been busy casting its live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, Twitter's been busy offering a plethora of suggestions for the not-yet-announced characters. First, there was the push to have Guy Fieri play Ursula. The hair resemblance is truly uncanny. And then, there came the Gordon Ramsay as Chef Louis propaganda, and honestly, it works.

It got us thinking...are celebrity chefs the next wave of A-list actors? If singers and models can cross the line, why can't cooks? So, far, far away from the Disney execs in La La Land, we took it upon ourselves to recast the entire film with our favorite chefs. Do you agree with our picks?

Padma Lakshmi as Ariel

See that wistful look? Padma's clearly got the whole Disney princess thing down pat. The chef can be soft-spoken and gentle, but she's also got a side to her that loves exploring...just like Ariel.

Antoni Porowski as Prince Eric

I mean, a bat of the eye and Antoni's got you hooked by his charm. Just like Prince Eric, the chef's a pretty boy with a kind heart. Honestly, it's as simple as that.

Guy Fieri as Ursula

We've been over this. Again, the hair is a dead-ringer and not to be ignored. That might be where the similarities stop, though. Ursula is a maniacal, conniving, evil octopus. Guy Fieri is a hysterical, captivating, loving California boy. That said, Guy himself seems to be sorta kinda into the idea.

King Triton: Paul Hollywood

King Triton is the definition of a silver fox (have you seen his pecs?!), as is Paul Hollywood. But beyond that, the Great British Bake Off judge and the ruler of the sea are both well-meaning but a touch overbearing. Sometimes all that emotion and passion can come off in ways that seem downright rude.

Sebastian: Chrissy Teigen

You can count on Sebastian to relieve any tension with a joke, as Chrissy tends to do. The two are "The Funny One" in any situation. Plus, you know if Twitter existed under the sea, Sebastian would live-tweet the shit out of his adventures with Ariel.

Flounder: José Andrés

Animated cartoon, Cartoon, Face, Facial expression, Head, Yellow, Illustration, Animation, Art, Smile, pinterest

Look at that sweet, sweet face. Which one, Flounder or José, you ask? EITHER, I say! They are one in the same. José is not nearly as cowardly as Flounder, but they've both got the whole best friend who'll support you through literally anything thing down pat.

Gordon Ramsay as Chef Louis

Prince Eric's chef, Chef Louis, is eccentric—both in his love for cooking and his disdain for anything that tries to mess things up in his kitchen. Remind you of anyone? There's no better person for the job than the famously huffy and yell-y Gordon Ramsay.

Scuttle: Jeff Mauro

Scuttle is a lovable, over-the-top goofball. Jeff Mauro is a lovable, over-the-top goofball. There ya go, mk?
