A couple of Los Angeles suits just took to a Very Important Podium to tell us something we've know for years: Guy Fieri is a damn national treasure. The chef just earned himself an award that's a bright as his iconic frosted tips — a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Hollywood Chamber tweeted a link to its announcement video last night. Nearly three dozen people were inducted into the The Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2019, including actors, directors, and musical artists. Guy Fieri was one of two chefs two to be honored. Julia Child scored a star posthumously.

A couple members of Guy's Food Network family — like the network itself and fellow chef Alex Guarnaschelli — were quick to take to the Twittersphere to offer him congratulations.

Dates for the star ceremonies (when each celebrity actually takes to the street to have their star dedicated) haven't been decided upon — and according to The Hollywood Walk of Fame site, they might not happen for a while. Recipients have two years to schedule their ceremony. If you're clamoring to see Guy in the wild, though, you can keep an eye on walkoffame.com for the announcement.
