There are a lot of ball jokes to be made at a restaurant that specializes in meatballs — and chef Daniel Sharp has heard them all. Take a moment to get yours out — go ahead, say them out loud — then let's get serious. Because of the dozens of ways you can order meatballs at The Meatball Shop, this one deserves your sincere attention.

The Balls Benedict launched with The Meatball Shop's brunch service, and it remains the most popular dish on the morning menu. It's got everything you expect of a Benedict — poached eggs, bread, hollandaise — and, of course, a couple of the restaurant's signature balls. These ones are a riff on chicken apple sausage, made with onions and spices, too.

Chef Sharp has played with how the dish is presented since he first created it a few years ago. Instead of putting all the toppings on an English muffin, chef Sharp uses a brioche bun. He cuts it into crouton-sized pieces and toasts them before adding the egg, meatballs, and hollandaise, plus some bacon (because, duh) and chives. Eating the whole thing will put you out of commission for the day, but you're going to want to take the chance. And you may now resume your ball jokes.
