The next epic wedding cake Duff Goldman makes could be his own. The Food Network star just announced he'll be "tying the knot" with his writer girlfriend Johnna Colbry on Instagram, and the engagement ring's a literal representation of that. In Goldman's photo, he's showing off Colbry's ring finger, which has a tiny piece of baker's twine wrapped around it. "I’m sorry I didn’t have a real ring. I hope you don’t mind butcher’s twine. I am a chef, after all," he wrote in his caption.
Judging by how far the couple's Instagram posts of each other go back, it looks as if Colbry and Goldman have been dating since at least 2016, but the proposal came completely out of the blue. Goldman writes that the idea came to him while he was shaving his head, when he realized he couldn't live another day without Colbry — who he called "muffin" — in his life. He embellished: "I didn’t plan this out, it just happened and it was so glaringly obvious that I couldn’t have stopped it if I wanted to. I asked her to marry me. She said yes."
Colbry posted the same shot on her own Instagram, and she revealed her nicknames for Goldman: "My forever muffin. My buffalo," she captioned the photo.
