Newsflash: Fast food chains all across the country are adding plant-based dishes to their menus. And we're not just talking about salads, because you can get those just about anywhere nowadays. Think veggie burgers and broth bowls — even Crunchwraps that pass the vegan test. Next time you want to grab-and-go, review this list first.

Au Bon Pain

The Garden and Avocado Wrap is stuffed with veggies, lettuce, and avocado. It comes mixed with a lite shallot viniagrette, which contains honey. Just ask the chefs to leave it off, if you want.

Chipotle

Chipotle is incredibly special diet-friendly. Its burritos, tacos, bowls, and salads can all be customized to accommodate vegans. Order the sofritas (shredded tofu) or just stick to beans. You're safe with the rice, salsas, fajita veggies, guacamole, and lettuce, too.

Domino's

The pizza chain's thin crust is the only vegan one on the menu, so get it topped with pizza sauce — no cheese, obvi — and all the veggies your heart desires.

Taco Bell

Taco Bell released their own guide to eating vegan on their site a couple years ago. The Bean Burrito is the simplest choice (you can make it "fresco," which replaces the cheese and sour cream with pico de gallo), but we're partial to this Crunchwrap Supreme hack: Ask to remove the beef, sour cream, and nacho cheese, and add beans and guacamole in their place.

Burger King

Classic French toast is usually made with milk and eggs, but BK's French Toast Sticks are totally animal product-free. Even the maple syrup is fair game.

Wendy's

When you remove the feta and chicken from the Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad, you're still left with a lot of filling ingredients. The lettuce is topped with hummus, quinoa, brown rice, beans, and veggies.

Quizno's

You'll have to ask for no cheese on the Veggie Guacamole sandwich here. Normally, it comes with mozzarella and cheddar. But everything else in there is plant-based.

Panera

The Vegan Lentil Quinoa Broth Bowl is packed with 10 gams of fiber and 12 grams of protein to keep you full. The soy-miso base is balanced with quinoa, brown rice, a lentil blend, tomato sofrito, kale, and spinach.

White Castle

After White Castle introduced a veggie patty (Dr. Praeger's, made with peas, carrots, zucchini, spinach, and broccoli), fans convinced the chain to veganize its buns. They did, and now the veggie slider is totally safe for vegans to eat. Just recently, they introduced a black bean patty, too.

McDonald's

Execs at Mickey D's don't claim that any of their food is vegan, but plant-based eaters have taken to the internet to share their hacks. The fruit and maple oatmeal is the most popular buy: Just ask for it to be made without cream.

Carl's Jr.

Ask the servers here to Veg It: It means they'll make any burger on their menu veggie-friendly by swapping the meat and cheese for fried zucchini.

Auntie Anne's

Some of Auntie Anne's soft pretzels are made with milk and cheese, but not the sweet almond variety. Just make sure you specify that they make it without butter, too.
