While fall brings the inevitable end of summer, backyard barbecues, and beach season, it also brings crisp air and chilly weather ideal for cooking. The temperature is cooler, fall produce is abundant, and there are loads of holidays and celebrations where you can make food the centerpiece. Cozy up with a big bowl of chili, host the next tailgate, and indulge in all the fall baked goods, perhaps from a recipe in a new cookbook.

If you don't already have stacks of cookbooks on hand (and even if you do), there's a wide variety of cookbooks being released this fall. Learn to cook Vietnamese dishes in Di An and Turkish baked goods in Turkuaz Kitchen. And you don't want to miss cookbooks by Dolly Parton, Stephen Colbert, or The Bear's Matty Matheson.

Check out some of the best cookbook releases we're looking forward to this fall. And if you need more recs, we've got you covered. Browse our picks for the best vegetarian cookbooks and the best Mediterranean cookbooks.
