If you're like me, you drink a lot of wine. And if you're like me, you also tend to be a bit of a craft hoarder (sometimes after drinking a lot of wine) — especially when it comes to cute home projects. I've got piles of empty jam jars sitting around waiting to be filled, votive candles stuffed into every cabinet, and more wine corks than my professional organizer roommate (or my liver) is comfortable with. Why? I'm saving 'em for that day when inspiration strikes and I'm finally able to jazz up my home with up-cycled food accents. And my worst offense? Wine corks.

The possibilities for cork crafts are endless, and if you'e been throwing them away, you're basically wasting one of life's most versatile domestic materials. Wine corks make excellent coasters, and they look great piled inside those weird vases everyone keeps sitting around their kitchen. The next time you think about tossing out the cork, think of these seven wine cork crafts, and start stashing 'em away for a crafty day.

And of course, go ahead and pour yourself a glass of wine to enjoy while you work. Head over to Beckmen Vineyards to make it.

A wine cork memo board.

You'll be saving up for a while to make this craft, but there are worse things in life than setting a goal of collected wine corks and forcing yourself to meet it. Amirite? You'll need about 150 corks for this project, which roughly equates to about 14 Bachelor watch parties, two Shonda Rhimes series, a Big Little Lies marathon, and an afternoon of backyard day-drinking with your squad. You got this.

A wine cork wreath.

Although a little basic as far as wine cork projects go, there's no limit to what you can do with your wine wreath. Style it up for a certain season, and add flowers or greens (fake is best) for a homey touch. Use this one from Hobby Lobby as inspiration.

Wine Cork Votive Candles

Votive candles, some hot glue, a few strings of twine, and a bunch of up-cycled corks become the cutest rustic candles you've ever seen in this craft. A tip: Be patient with this one, and mock out your spacing before you get to gluing. Not into the votive look? Here are 8 other cork candle ideas to get you going.
