Attention, Taylor Swift fans: If you see an unexpected face on a pair of random (and definitely not official) "Eras Tour" pajamas, please note, it's the one and only Kelly Ripa, and she demands you take note.
Kelly made that clear during a December 23, 2023 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, when the ABC personality got hilariously heated as she and husband Mark Consuelos discussed a video that went viral recently. As Kelly explained, the video featured a person showcasing "Eras Tour" pajamas her sister bought. The pair highlighted photos of Taylor from different parts of her "eras," but when she looked at the "Red" section, it featured what the users called a "random lady."
"This person's sister ordered some pajamas on Amazon, from the Taylor Swift Eras tour," Kelly said. "She says, 'My sister ordered some pajamas on Amazon and there's this random lady on the Red era.' That's not any random lady — that is the random lady!"
As Kelly and Mark jested about whether the fan got her money back for not getting what she wanted, Mark asked producer Michael Gelman if people knew it was his wife on the PJs. When Gelman confirmed that folks speculated it was Kelly, she decided to share with the audience how the original photo came to be.
"I know exactly what this is from. This is from a photoshoot I did when I was on a sitcom called Hope and Faith, from before you were born! I was on the American Airlines' in-flight magazine cover. That's right — they used to have magazines on American Airlines! I'm not just some random lady! I'm this random lady."
Needless to say, Kelly fans were perplexed by how someone might not know about the talk show host.
"How do [you] not know who Kelly Ripa is lol," one person asked on TikTok. "Not random 😭😭 😂 put some respect on Kelly's name!!!" another declared.
Someone else said they are headed to Amazon to see if they can get a pair themselves, "Not me rushing to Amazon to buy random lady pajamas!!!!!"
