Spoilers ahead for season one of The Bear.

The FX/Hulu original about grief and cooking seemingly came out of nowhere last summer to become one of the best shows of 2022—not to mention a veritable Twitter sensation.

The story centers around Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a fine dining chef who returns home to Chicago to run his family's Italian beef sandwich shop after his brother dies by suicide. It's funny and sad and a perfect binge-watch, and while The Bear's first season comes to a satisfying conclusion, we can't wait to see what happens in the show's second chapter.

Here's what we know so far about season two:

It's officially coming back for a second season.

The Bear has exceeded our wildest creative, critical and commercial expectations,” Eric Schrier, FX's Entertainment President, said in a statement. “We deeply appreciate the brilliant work led by creator and co-showrunner Christopher Storer and co-showrunner Joanna Calo. Jeremy Allen White’s lead performance is spectacular, as are those of his co-stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce and Liza Colón-Zayas. We can’t wait to get to work on season 2.”

Bob Odenkirk will also join the cast of The Bear season 2, in an as yet undisclosed role.

The series will return in June 2023.

In addition to Scrier's statement, Storer and Calo commented on the news, revealing when we can expect new episodes. “We are so grateful to FX, our insanely talented cast, our crew who worked hard, fast, and in the dead of winter, not to mention everyone who watched. And we can’t wait to bring you all back to The Bear in 2023.”

Season two will have ten episodes, and in March, FX shared a first look (watch above). FX teased, "It’s not a reopening, it’s a rebirth."
