Kelsea Ballerini knows how to rock a sparkly jumpsuit, but she chose a more daring (read: cheeky) route ahead of the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
In February, the Rolling Up the Welcome Mat singer looked the epitome of edgy when stepping out during New York Fashion Week. She arrived at the Prabal Gurung runway show ready to impress, describing her look as "the fashion assassin." The atelier dressed the country star in a sleek black outfit, a stark contrast from her custom yellow gown at the 2023 Grammys.
Her ensemble featured plunging halter straps with strategic cutouts at her midsection. A sheer skirt draped over her short black bottoms, revealing her legs underneath. Long, shiny latex gloves stretched up her arms and tied up the risqué look.
Kelsea accessorized with skinny, red-bottom heels while a pair of dangling diamond earrings suited the high fashion moment. Dialing up the glam, she wore a dark smoky eye and slicked hair.
After sharing the look on Instagram, fans went wild. The artist posted a variety of snaps, including of her getting ready, traveling to the event and posing in front of photographers.
"I’m loving whatever era you’re in right now. 🔥," one person wrote in the comments section. "I’m framing these, respectfully," another added. "Ladies and gentlemen ... HER," a different person said.
The "Blindsided" singer seems primed to secure a coveted spot on best dressed lists. It's certainly got fans excited as she gears up for her hosting gig at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
With names like Carrie Underwood and Blake Shelton on the list of expected attendees, the star-studded event airs April 2 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
We'll see if Kelsea turns up the heat at her next red carpet!
