Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, in all their glory, are hosting the Golden Globes yet again. The two have done this gig many times before, but this is the first time ever the two have done it on opposite coasts. Tina is hosting live from New York City, and Amy is hosting live from Los Angeles. That makes this the first ever bicoastal Golden Globes! Crazy!

They gave their opening monologue and the network spliced it together so it looked like they were standing next to each other, which was great. The internet has lots to say about it. Mainly, how good it was? And how not awkward? It was shockingly normal feeling, and the jokes were good to boot!

They did also make a joke about how the Hollywood Foreign Press Association doesn’t have a single Black member of its 87-person voting body and how generally we have no idea what the HFPA even is.

I’ll let the people of Twitter tell you how they feel.

If you’re watching the show live, you can check out the list of nominees here to see who will be on your screen tonight.
