While Christmas 2020 certainly looks different from years past, some traditions remain the same. The British royal family is still sending out holiday cards, and this year's iteration of the Cambridge family Christmas greeting just arrived.

In their 2020 holiday card, Prince William and Kate pose alongside their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. In the photo, the royal kids, now ages seven, five, and two, respectively, sit alongside their parents on a block of hay.

Photographer Matt Porteous captured the group this autumn at Anmer Hall, the Cambridges' Norfolk country home, where they stayed for much of the coronavirus lockdown. In the shot, the Cambridges look quite cozy, sitting in front of firewood in coordinating earth-toned outfits. Charlotte is perched on the Duchess's lap, while George sits next to his father. Louis, meanwhile, is the eye-catcher front and center, candidly laughing while clinging to Prince William's leg. While not an obviously Christmasy setup, the family certainly looks ready for the holidays.

This year, the Cambridges focused on spreading Christmas cheer during a holiday season marked by the coronavirus pandemic. In early December, William and Kate embarked on a three-day journey on the Royal Train, stopping in England, Scotland and Wales. The Duke and Duchess thanked individuals and groups who went above and beyond during the lockdown, while participating in festive holiday activities. They also recently took their three kids to the London Palladium, making a surprise appearance at a pantomime performance.

On Christmas Day itself, however, the royals will stray from tradition. For the first time in decades, there won't be a large gathering of royals in Sandringham. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will spend Christmas in Windsor instead—luckily, the castle is decorated to the nines.
