While cooking can be a joy, it's no secret that it can also get a little redundant after a while. Dumping the same spices into your pan day after day can get pretty...bland. But little did I know that apparently, the best way to freshen up your kitchen's spice drawer is apparently to get Jennifer Garner's son to give them all new names.
Jennifer shared a hilarious Instagram photo this weekend of her spice jars rocking brand-new labels, courtesy of her 7-year-old son, Samuel. Jen apparently asked him to make labels for her dried spices, and he took it upon himself to come up with some puns that are pretty incredible.
"Mom: Will you please make labels for my spices?
7 year old boy: Yup," she wrote along with the facepalm emoji.
Let's break these down, shall we? First off we have "Pizza, the right way," which is just Jen's go-to pizza seasoning. Next up is thyme, which was apparently spared the pun wrath. After that is the beautifully name "Rosefart" aka rosemary. Then? "Meatbutt." Per the hashtags in her caption, this one was supposed to be Jen's meatball mix. That is followed by my personal fave, "Parspee," which if you couldn't figure out, is parsley. Finally, the line-up is rounded out by "Sage The Children," which is likely a play on the name of the charity "Save The Children," which Jennifer reps in her Instagram bio. It's sage...if that wasn't clear.
Needless to say, celebrities and fans alike had mad respect for Samuel's puns in the comments of this Instagram. As they should! But I think Jen summed it up best in her hashtag "#thatswhatigetforwantingfunnykids." BRB, gotta do some editing on the labels on my spice rack.
