Lizzo has been riding high lately with her recent viral performance at the VMAS, #1 song on the charts, and just overall being beloved by the internet. But apparently stars are TRULY just like us, and can even have some mishaps when it comes to food delivery.

It all started when Lizzo sent a now-deleted tweet Monday night of what appeared to be a screenshot of the Postmates app with a caption alleging that she had her food stolen by a Postmates driver. "Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more," the tweet read, according to screenshots.

Postmates quickly responded to the singer with an apology and she let them know in a follow-up tweet that she had direct messaged them.

In a statement to Delish, a Postmates spokesperson said "As soon as Lizzo reached out, we looked into the matter and quickly resolved the issue. We apologize to Lizzo for any inconvenience."

After this exchange, the internet did what it does best and turned the whole thing into a meme, often riffing off of Lizzo's lyrics.

Even fellow food delivery app DoorDash decided to join in.

But not everyone found it so funny. Others pointed out that sharing the driver's name and photo and complaining publicly put her job in danger and argued that Lizzo should have handled it privately.

In another tweet that also appears to be deleted as of this post, Lizzo responded to someone who lobbed this criticism, saying that she put it out there because she didn't want someone else to have their food stolen as well.

Though the incident gained quite a bit of attention, Lizzo seemed to move on as of Tuesday morning, posting a video of herself twerking with the caption "poor connection." Delish reached out to Lizzo's listed press representative with a request for comment but did not immediately hear back.
