We all know that before the binge-eating begins on Thanksgiving, there's a lot of, well, hanging out. Chatting around dips and cheese plates (we need to help our appetites properly expand, okay?), it's only really Thanksgiving if there's a drink in one hand while the other mans the appetizer small plate.

To make sure your guests get appropriately sauced while eagerly awaiting the bird to get the hell out of the oven, we have the perfect festive cocktail with just the right balance of booze and class: the Cranberry Sauce Margarita.

Now, you know we love a good margarita recipe at Delish (even margarita shots), so finding a way to turn the typically summer cocktail into a Thanksgiving-appropriate one is kind of a game-changer for us. You don't need to be one bit a mixologist to craft this; all you do is combine tequila, lime juice, cranberry sauce, and honey in a cocktail shaker and shake, shake, shake it, then pour the mixture into margarita glasses. The real party trick? Rimming the glass with brown sugar. We like to dip it first in maple syrup to help the sugar stick. Garnishing with frozen cranberries adds a holiday look and keeps the cocktail cold. Cheers!
