Actress Jaime King's Instagram alone gives us serious #squadgoals — Taylor Swift is the godmother to her youngest child, Leo Thames, after all — so when we heard she was hosting an early Friendsgiving party, we couldn't wait to get a glimpse inside. Then, one dessert completely stole the show.
King's Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie is, essentially, the gooey equivalent of an Oreo and a slightly melty Reese's Peanut Butter Cup — only it's practically the size of a hubcap, so you can have a slice for breakfast, lunch, pre-dinner snack and dinner, not to mention dessert. Or, okay, you could try that whole sharing-is-caring thing and serve it at your next get-together, be it Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving or just a, "hey, I learned how to make this sick pie and you need to try it!" hangout.
The pie features a chocolate cookie crust, then a thick, mousse-like layer of creamy peanut butter (King swears by Skippy, which is beaten with cream cheese and whipped cream to make it light and fluffy) and a rich chocolate ganache on top. To give the pie extra swagger, you could sprinkle chopped peanuts around the rim, like the former Hart of Dixie star did.
The rest of King's menu may just inspire a few dishes for yours: She served the pie alongside a lemon-brined turkey, sourdough stuffing, buttermilk-chive mashed potatoes and lemon-parm brussels sprouts, among other dishes. "There were zero leftovers," she instagrammed post-party, which she hosted with Hormel Foods. Despite all of the fun, the mother of two admitted in her post that it was such a whirlwind night she nearly broke down into "post-Partum tired tears."
On that note, maybe you should host your party potluck-style. We know who's bringing the pie.
