Debating what to buy for trick-or-treaters this year? Influenster, a product reviews site, recently conducted a survey to answer the age-old question of which Halloween treat reigns supreme. Over 40,000 people from all 50 states chimed in to rank a total of 30 different candies, which were chosen based on Influenster ratings, and the results might surprise you.
"It was interesting to see that the standout candy of choice in the most number of states was the ever-controversial, you-either-love-it-or-hate-it Halloween staple, the candy corn," Aydin Acar, Influenster CEO, told Mashable.
While candy corn was favorited by the highest number of states, the sweet treat only received 1,236 votes overall. Meanwhile, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups received the most votes (4,348) across the whole country, earning them the title of America's favorite Halloween candy. In fact, if you're in Connecticut or Indiana, we bet you're enjoying the chocolate-peanut buttery goodness right now.
