No, that's not corn on the cob—yes, that's actually candy corn. If you’re looking for a real trick-or-treat situation, then this easy dessert is the one for you. This crazy treat is made of edible sugar cookie dough so that anyone crazy enough can take bite right into the center. Candy corn fans—this is for you. Corn on the cob lovers? Not so much. Either way, these candy corn cobs will be the cutest addition to any Halloween party or fall gathering. Get your sweet tooth ready, and dig in!
How to make candy corn cobs:
If you’re looking for the easiest Halloween treat, then these corn cobs are the dessert for you. You’ll create a simple sugar cookie dough from only 5 ingredients. Then, you’ll form each piece into a log, and refrigerate for around 2 hours, or until solid. Don’t skip the time here! We want our logs to be fully solid and firm so that the candy corn sticks, but doesn’t disrupt the dough’s shape.
When your cookie dough logs are ready to go, you’ll push candy corn into rows on the logs, creating a corn-like design. You’ll then refrigerate again (around an hour) before serving so that the whole dessert all stays together.
Pro tip: Stick to blanched almond flour for that classic cookie dough look. Unblanched almond flour (or almond meal) includes almond skins and has a flecked appearance.
