Easter comes but once a year, which means we love to maximize all the food opportunities by having a big ol' potluck with our friends, family, and all the best seasonal spring dishes. Nothing is better than loading up the tables with options like ham and lamb roasts, spring-y Easter sides, festive cocktails like our cottontail-tini and Peeptini, and perhaps a dessert like our Peeps cheesecake bars or bunny cake to finish the meal off. So this year, we think it's time you let your Easter plate runneth over with these 36 festive potluck ideas full of all the classic sides, mains, drinks, and desserts that just might overshadow your Easter egg hunt.

The key to any good potluck dish is making it as easy to share as possible. No one wants to fuss around with tricky dishes with finicky temperature control, which is why we love busting out our favorite make-ahead dishes. Make ahead appetizers are not only a time-saver, but somehow they taste so much better knowing that you saved yourself some stress too, especially our chicken & artichoke pasta salad, classic deviled eggs, and French potato salad. Dips, too, can often be made ahead of time, and simplify the potluck game down to the easies ( and tastiest) level. This year, bring our carrot hummus, deviled egg dip, or uniquely festive pull-apart Easter bunny bread for a guaranteed invitation back to next year's potluck.

Of course, any potluck can't be composed of sides and sweets alone—someone has to be on main dish duty. We love busting out classics like our honey baked pulled ham or copycat Honey Baked ham, but if you're wary of having too much leftover ham (and/or have some plant-based folks on your list), we love making a vegan mushroom pot pie with plenty of ham and cheese spinach puffs to keep everyone at the table happy.
