Looking at Christmas lights, gift shopping, and decorating the tree are all top-tier holiday activities, but Christmas movie marathons are what really make the season in my house. To me, the best part about watching my favorite Christmas movies is not enjoying my favorite scenes and quoting the best lines (“I want to be… a dentist!”—IYKYK), but it’s the snacks and drinks that pair with them. Popcorn and hot chocolate are great and all, but I love a theme, so I’ve compiled recipes inspired by beloved Christmas movies. Grinchy cake bites will make your heart grow three sizes, Buddy The Elf Rice Krispies treats have all the essential elf food groups, and Christmas fettuccine will whisk you away to a cottage in the Cotswolds (with Jude Law, preferably). No matter what your favorite, must-watch holiday movie is, there’s a recipe here that will transport you from couch to screen. Let the movie marathon begin!

Watching A Christmas Story is a yearly tradition around these parts, and our movie night isn’t complete without eating on-theme Christmas treats while we watch. Usually we make our iconic leg lamp cookies, but this year we’re adding soap-shaped fudge to the menu (trust us!).

White Christmas: Mojito

Apparently only 25% of Americans are able to get a white Christmas, which, in our opinion, is totally unfair. If you're in that remaining 75% (or if you're queuing up the cozy musical movie) we’ve got you covered with this mojito. With this cocktail in hand, you won't even need to pay attention to the forecast.

HOT HOT! Yeah, we got it! It's officially hot cocoa season, and we've got the cutest dessert ever to celebrate with. They look a little tricky, but they couldn't be easier. We gave ours a Christmas spin with red and green sprinkles, but they're perfect for any winter holiday or snow day.

Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer: Reindeer Tracks Fudge

I love Christmas cookies of all shapes and flavors, but when my sweet tooth is in overdrive, it’s creamy, chocolaty fudge I need. Fudge is super-versatile, and I’ll take it in any form, but crammed full of mini marshmallows, salted peanuts, and bite-size peanut butter cups, it's next level spectacular—you just might forgive that incident with grandma.

If you can't get to the Cotswolds or Malibu this year, you can still celebrate the holidays rom-com style with a bowl of creamy Christmas fettuccine Alfredo. Bonus points if Mr. Napkin Head makes an appearance!

Home Alone 2: Kitchen Sink Sundae

Suzanne Clement

A 28-ingredient sundae?! Be still, our hearts. This dessert is aptly named for its epic range of toppings (Bananas! Cupcakes! An entire can of whipped cream!) and for the fact that it’s served in a slightly shrunken replica of a chrome kitchen sink. We think it's just the thing Kevin would enjoy in his Plaza suite.

If you can be found at the holiday party spooning yourself glass after glass of eggnog, we feel you—and so does Clark Griswold. Rich, creamy, and, well, egg-y, we'd go as far as to say no Christmas celebration is complete without a glass of this festive drink.

Holly jolly and extremely delicious, these pull-apart cupcakes are the holiday showstopper that you’ve been looking for. A Christmas Carol: Scrooge Sour

Scrooge may have been sour-hearted, but a sip of this warming (yet chilled) winter cocktail would’ve been just the trick to turn his frown upside-down. To make it, we take inspiration the holiday classic, mulled wine, to make a simple syrup that takes this sour cocktail to new festive heights.

Jack Frost: Not-So-Naughty Jack Frosties

PHOTO: ROCKY LUTEN; FOOD STLYING: TAYLOR ANN SPENCER

Winter is the perfect time for steaming mugs of spiced, warm apple cider and marshmallow-laden hot chocolate, but just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean a chilled, blended drink doesn’t hit the spot too. These vibrantly blue not-so-naughty Jack Frosties are a refreshing departure from the hearty flavors of the holiday season. We went for a non-alcoholic version here for kids, non-drinkers, or people just wanting a break for the night.

Love, Actually: Banoffee Pie

Jingle All The Way: Gingerbread Cookies

PHOTO: JULIA GARTLAND; FOOD STYLING: MAKINZE GORE

For us, an "out-of-this-world" gingerbread should have a lot of ground ginger, a bit of cinnamon, and a tiny amount of cloves. It's the perfect Christmas formula. But if you don't have cloves (or really loathe them), you can just leave them out. As for the ginger, it's necessary but negotiable. Feel free to use less.
