Lasagna is probably the ultimate comfort food. Whether it's a roll or a dip, we can't stop eating the Italian favorite. Recently, we've been putting a sweet spin on the dish with insane dessert lasagnas like this peanut butter casserole and this pumpkin cheesecake lasagna. These recipes were great for using up Halloween candy and wowing your Thanksgiving guests, so now we've found an indulgent, Christmas-appropriate dessert lasagna.

This Chocolate Peppermint 4-Layer Dessert from Mom On Timeout is perfect for the holidays and is a thousand times easier than building a gingerbread house. The only thing you have to bake is the crust, and the whole thing couldn't be simpler to assemble.

For the bottom layer, make a simple crust with flour, crushed nuts, sugar, and melted butter. You don't have to roll out any dough, and this is just as simple as a graham cracker crust—only way flakier. Press the dough into a baking dish, and bake for ten minutes.

The second layer is cool and creamy thanks to a dreamy combination of cream cheese and Cool Whip. Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract into the mix, and spread on the crust once it's cooled. The third layer is just instant chocolate pudding, prepared according to the package instructions.

For the final layer, spread some more Cool Whip and decorate with crushed candy canes and chocolate shavings. Some melted white chocolate would also be amazing, and green sprinkles would make this casserole even more festive.
