If you haven't made fudge before, the idea of it might seem daunting. But you don't need to work in a candy factory to master it at home—we found a shortcut for you! The secret ingredient to such corner-cutting? Sweetened condensed milk. The magical ingredient creates a luxuriously thick, fudgy texture.
STEP 1: COMBINE SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK AND CHOCOLATE
Stir, then microwave on medium heat in 30 second increments until chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
STEP 2: SPICE IT UP
Stir in a generous pinch of ground nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon.
STEP 3: MAKE IT FESTIVE
Add red and green nonpareils because... holidays!
STEP 4: LET IT SIT
Transfer the fudge mixture to a parchment-lined glass dish and let sit until firm. If you want to speed up the process, chill it in the fridge. Once firm, cut into bites and enjoy.
