Walmart is getting ready for the holidays early this year. The retail giant just announced its seasonal promotions, ensuring customers can enjoy their holiday celebrations on a budget.
With nearly half of consumers beginning their holiday shopping as early as August and September, Walmart is rolling out discounts starting in October. This year, the retailer is reviving its "inflation-free" holiday meal, allowing families to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at an impressively low cost.
According to a press release, Walmart will offer a selection of 28 holiday food items starting October 14—including turkey, sides, condiments, and desserts—at prices lower than those seen in 2023. This complete meal serves up to 10 people and costs approximately $7 per person.
Shoppers can take advantage of these deals both in-store and online, with multiple convenient shopping methods available. Options include curbside pickup, early morning delivery starting at 6 a.m., and express delivery within 30 minutes.
“We know many of our customers are beginning to prepare for their holiday celebrations early, and we’ve adapted our approach to best meet their needs,” said Latriece Watkins, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Walmart U.S, in a statement. “We’ve worked hard to lower prices across our most exciting assortment ever, and we’re thrilled to give customers more of what they want this holiday–more time to prepare and more opportunities to save all season long.”
Walmart has embraced the bundling trend in its offerings this year, previously introducing affordable cookout packages and themed Game Day baskets, Food & Wine reported. The new Thanksgiving meal bundle will be available through December 25.
