Come October, Team Delish wants to begin the Halloween festivities as soon as possible, and that absolutely means right at the breakfast table. We’re of one of a few minds for what to eat in the morning on All Hallows Eve (and all month long!): Is it just an excuse to eat even more sweets that day? Or should we be starting out healthier in anticipation of all the candy we’ll get trick or treating later? And we can’t forget to take advantage of all the great fall produce around, like pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and apples too. Whichever direction you prefer to go, we’ve got something here for you. Check out our 56 best Halloween breakfast recipes for ideas—they’ll get the spooky holiday started off right.

Halloween is ALL about the candy (well, and the costumes), so why not make your day extra sweet, starting with breakfast? While we don’t have any breakfasts here that are explicitly covered in candy (hm, not yet!), we’ve definitely got some decadent options that’ll hit the spot. Check out our chocolate chip pancakes, our pumpkin pie pop tarts, our pumpkin pie French toast bake, or our sheet-pan apple cinnamon rolls. We’ve also included a few drinks here that SCREAM fall, like our pumpkin juice, our pumpkin spice latte, or our apple cider latte. Even if you don’t have big Halloween plans later, they can start your day off feeling a bit more special.

If the thought of too much sugar for breakfast icks you out or you want something to balance out your day (especially with all that candy in your future), try one of the healthier, heartier options on this list. Check out our baked apple oatmeal, our sheet-pan sweet potato hash, our morning glory muffins, our apple pancake dippers, and more. They’re sure to fuel you (and your family) up for whatever your Halloween has in store.

Speaking of fuel, if you've got a gaggle of little ghouls and goblins at your place that need sustenance the morning after Halloween? You've gotta make one of our breakfast casseroles or bakes. Our brunch lasagna, our breakfast strata, our huevos rancheros casserole, or our apple cheddar crescent casserole are the perfect cure to everyone's sugar comas.
