This fabulous stuff—basically made from apples mixed with bacteria (the good kind) and yeast—is really a wonder elixir that's been proven to help with everything from dandruff to hiccups. And when a 16-ounce bottle will only set you back $4, you don't have much to lose.

1. Bust dandruff.

A flaky scalp is annoying and super-embarrassing, so here's the Rx: after shampooing, spray a mix of equal parts apple cider vinegar and water into your hair, let it sit for about ten minutes, then rinse. Do this a few times a week to see results.

2. Soothe a sore throat.

Honey and hot water are a go-to, but mix in a little apple cider vinegar to super-charge it. The vinegar has antibacterial properties and can help break up mucus.

3. Get a happier gut.

It may seem counterintuitive, but this pungent vinegar can actually settle your stomach. (If you can't handle the taste, mix it with a bit of honey.) A tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with water has been said to reduce gas, constipation, and even heartburn.

4. Get glowing skin.

Dilute the apple cider vinegar (1 part vinegar, 2 parts water) and swipe it on your face with cotton swabs as an all-natural toner. Don't worry, the vinegar-y smell will go away once it dries.

5. Cool a sunburn.

A bit crispy post-vacation? Put one cup of apple cider vinegar in your bathtub and give yourself a good soak. The vinegar will help even out your skin's Ph balance.

6. Clean your produce.

Skip the soap. Instead, mix 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar to one gallon of water and use it to rinse your fruits and veggies.

7. Clear up a wart.

Okay, nobody wants to talk about them, but here's how to get rid of 'em: Soak a cotton swab in apple cider vinegar and put it right on the wart. Wrap it up with saran wrap to keep it on the spot and leave it on overnight (if possible). Continue this for several days to see results.

8. Fight off fleas.

(This one is for your pet… obviously.) Mix one part apple cider vinegar and one part water and spray it right on your pet's fur. Repeat for a few days until they're gone.

9. Banish hiccups.

Add this to the list of wild remedies that actually work. Down one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to stop those pesky hiccups.

10. Kill weeds.

As an alternative to super chemical-y herbicides, try this: Mix one part apple cider vinegar to eight parts water. Spray it right on the weeds a few times a week for the best results.

11. Restore your nails.

Manicures are amazing while they last but repeated polishing can wreak havoc on your nail beds. To rejuvenate them, simply soak in apple cider vinegar for anywhere between 5 to 30 minutes, then slather on vitamin e and coconut oils. Voila—simple, DIY moisture treatment.

12. Relieve bloating.

When you're feeling flabby or bloated, turn to a mixture of apple cider vinegar, hot water ,and a dash of cinnamon—you'll feel so much better for it.
