Find out the states that tweet and talk about pumpkins the most.
Nationwide pumpkin mania seems to begin earlier and earlier each year (gourd season in 2014 started back in August), but not all states love Halloween's mascot equally. Thanks to Twitter, we now know which states are more obsessed with pumpkins than the rest of country.
Twitter compiled data around everyone's favorite gourd and then created an interactive map that shows which states tweeted about pumpkins the most between September 26, 2013 and September 25, 2014. Vermonters seem to be most passionate with 636 million pumpkin mentions per million tweets. New Hampshire was a close second with 585 million mentions per million tweets, and Maine came in third with 466 million.
