In addition to releasing the new Oprah Teavana ® Chai Tea, Starbucks has another announcement to make. This year the coffee chain will expand its beer and wine program to thousands of outposts across the U.S. That means you can start and end your day with a Starbucks pick-me-up.

The Chicago Tribune reports that you can also expect an expansion of the light bites menu, which includes bacon-wrapped dates, truffle macaroni and cheese, chicken skewers, and chocolate fondue. The company first started testing its after-4 p.m. wine and beer model in Seattle back in 2010, then expanded its test of the the concept to 25 additional locations, including spots in Chicago, Atlanta, and Southern California.

The company said the evening hours succeeded in urban areas where stores are near theaters and other nightlife spots. Those areas are precisely the types of cafes they will continue to target.
