simply cheetos puffs
Frito-Lay

After getting hit with several lawsuits over the use of the word "natural" to brand many of its products, PepsiCo has officially changed its tune. Now the company is boasting that its products are "Simply" instead. According to the Associated Press, some of the products affected are the previously "Simply Natural" line of Frito-Lay chips. Now they go by monikers like "Simply Cheetos Puffs" and "Simply Ruffles." "Natural Quaker Granola" will now be called "Simply Quaker Granola." Pepsi reportedly said that the change is just a marketing update, but many companies are currently facing legal issues over the definition of the world "natural." The FDA still doesn't have a super specific definition of "natural"; it currently says that any product that doesn't include "added color, artificial flavors or synthetic substances" can be defined as such. Until a clearer explanation is made public, it looks like major companies are shying away from the implications of the calling something "natural."
