We already knew the world was crazy for cronuts and that folks were picking them up on Craigslist for above the asking price, but one woman really outdid herself when she purchased some of the popular pastries for $14,000. According to Grub Street, Stacy Hock was the winning bidder at a charity auction where she shelled out a whopping $14,000 for 12 cronuts. The event was for City Harvest's Bid Against Hunger, and cronut inventor Dominique Ansel himself, along with Questlove, helped MC while the bidding took place. Even more amazing is that Hock gave most of her winnings away to others at the event, only saving one cronut for her and her husband to enjoy.
