A sheriff's deputy in Orange County, California, is accused of actions that led several teenagers to fall ill. The teens reportedly ingested pizza that was previously pepper sprayed. According to NBC Los Angeles, 30-year-old deputy Juan Tavera pulled a 19-year-old over for a routine traffic violation last year. He apparently sprayed a pizza in the back seat with pepper spray without the teen noticing and then five people were later sickened after eating the pizza. If convicted Tavera faces a year in prison.
