In case you thought the Cronut craze couldn't get any crazier — meet the Cronut burger. Food editors at First We Feast had talked about the concept as a joke, but then made the humorous idea into a reality after Umami Burger (a famous Los Angeles chain) opened in New York City. Staff at First We Feast sent an intern to do the "dirty work." He got in line for a blackberry cronut at 6am and then headed straight to the anticipated grand opening of Umani Burger. He swapped out the burger buns from the restaurant's signature slider and replaced them with two halves of a Cronut. And voilà — the Cronut burger was born.
