The elusive McRib is back at McDonald's. But the thrill may be gone now that one worker allegedly photographed what the meat looks like before it is slathered in sauce and tucked in its bun.

According to Business Insider, a Reddit user DJDanaK claims that a friend who is employed by the Golden Arches snapped a photo and sent it to him. The photo shows what an allegedly uncooked, undressed "rib" looks like straight from the box. "My buddy works at McDonald's and sent me this photo of a raw McRib meat," DJDanaK posted.

The rather unappetizing slab of frozen patty is raising eyebrows across the internet. On Reddit, one believer said, "What the hell were you expecting? Real rib meat?" While others agreed, asking shocked readers if before they saw the image they thought McDonald's would be "carving rib meat in the back." Antholangnia, a self-proclaimed restaurant worker, said, "If you go to a McDonald's, pay $3 and wait 5 mins, then this is what you get." Antholangnia added, "Anyone who expects a high quality meal from McDonald's is deluded." One McDonald's worker supported that claim, writing that the boxes are labeled, "Frozen Rib-Shaped Pork."
Would you still eat a McRib knowing the meat looks like this uncooked? Or do you agree that the image is really no shocker?
