Typically when you go to a party to celebrate a birthday, you're expected to bring a gift. But that's not the case today. To celebrate its 85th birthday, 7-Eleven stores will provide free 7.11-ounce Slurpee drinks from 11am to 7pm on Wednesday, July 11 (yes, that's 7/11).
In a press release, CEO Joe DePinto says, "This year we expect to give away 7 million Slurpee drinks, more than ever before, beating last year's offer by 2 million."

While 7-Eleven stores have hit the 85th year milestone, Slurpee is celebrating its own birthday — its 45th.
The play on 7-11 doesn't end with the size of the drinks, the times they are available, and the date they are served. 7-Eleven reports that Six Flags, an official Slurpee partner, will offer a special admission price of $7.11 after 7pm when guests present a receipt from 7-Eleven marked with a 7/11/12 date stamp. Cinemark theaters in Dallas, Houston, Salt Lake City, and Portland are also getting in on the fun. They will give away free 7.11-ounce Slurpee drinks from 7pm to 11pm.
