A sandwich spot called Salumè has added alcohol to the menu, but not in beverages. You can find the booze in sandwiches — possibly the world's first ever alcohol-infused sandwiches.

According to Urban Daddy, a New York City café with Italian-style offerings is making sandwich history with its panini menu. When the Italian sandwiches are assembled, the sandwiches take a turn for the strange. As the meat is layered on the bread, Salumè sandwich makers drip alcohol over top.

Amaro, grappa, scotch, rye, and gin are all featured on the menu. The sandwiches that include alcohol are already paired with specific liquor. You can try Surryano ham with rye or prosciutto, beets, and scotch.

There's no word yet on how much alcohol is used per sandwich, but since the alcohol is "dripped" over top, it's probably not enough for the paninis to double as cocktails.
