By now you're used to seeing a Starbucks on every corner, but in a funeral home? That's right. The Robinson Funeral Home in Easley, South Carolina, just installed a Starbucks café.
If you doubt the need for a mochaccino when you're grieving, Chris Robinson, the owner of the funeral home, begs to differ. He feels there is a need to provide creature comforts when families are going through a difficult time. "It should help families escape from the stress a little bit, having a private area to get their minds off of what's going on," he told ABC News. However, that Starbucks will not just be accessible for those experiencing bereavement. There will be a separate entrance for the public.

So is this just another way to make a profit? Previously, Robinson offered free coffee to his clients and he will continue to do so. But, for anyone looking for something a little more substantial, Robinson hopes that they will take advantage of the adjacent Coffee Corner.
While this might be the first funeral home to have a Starbucks, it's not at all unusual for Starbucks to license out their brand and products to meet other food service needs. Maybe you've seen Starbucks in a hospital or at your local health club. It's not just Starbucks that is tapping into institutions. The Telegraph reports that Subway has plans to build a sandwich counter in Great Britain's schools.

Robinson's café will offer a limited range of Starbucks products, and, according to ABC News, the signature green mermaid logo won't appear outside of the building. Wi-fi, a fireplace, and a place to watch TV, will be available.
Would you want Starbucks inside a funeral home? If it were the closest Starbucks in your town, would you make a coffee run even if you weren't there for a funeral service?
