The bakery that brought you the Cronut is adding a new twist on a pop-up shop. To taste Dominique Ansel's new creation, you have to pop open a can.
During a one-day sale in partnership with fashion designer Lisa Perry, Dominique Ansel Bakery will run an ice cream truck of sorts in the Hamptons, selling canned sundaes inspired by Andy Warhol's pop-art Campbell's Soup paintings.
The canned concoction is designed to taste like a root-beer float. It includes root beer ice cream, stracciatella (vanilla and chocolate chip) ice cream, mascarpone semifreddo, toasted marshmallow, and mascerated cherries.
Though they're big enough to share, the concoctions aren't cheap; each one costs a cool $15. That's the cost of three Cronuts.
