We understand why fast food chains would try to jump on the food hybrid trend, but Jack In The Box has officially taken it too far. According to Brand Eating, the fast food giant is currently testing a Chick-N-Tater Melt, which features some kind of take on a typical melt-style sandwich, except with a croissant bun. We're not even sure that counts as a mash-up.
The "Munchie Meal" (does that means this it's supposed to be a snack?!) features a fried chicken patty, a hash brown patty, bacon, Swiss cheese, cheese sauce, and ranch. It also comes with two tacos, fries, and a drink for $6. The testing phase is currently taking place at San Jose, California-area locations as part of Jack In The Box's late-night menu, which also includes a grilled cheese bun burger.
