We heard about the test-tube burger more than two years ago, and after word that the synthesized meat patty was almost complete back in May, the slider is finally ready for consumption. The burger was created using cow stem cells, which were encouraged to replicate with a special "growth medium." The single patty cost a whopping $325,000 to "grow" and has taken years to finish. According to the Independent, Mark Post, a cultivated meat specialist and the meat's creator, will serve the burger next week in front of an audience at a secret venue in London. Apparently he plans to cook the burger with minimal seasoning and taste it in front of the crowd.
