King's Head Pub in Gunnerside, England, is going to the dogs. Literally. While the quintessential British watering hole serves a range of traditional pints and savory pies, starting July 15, a large portion of its menu will be focused on grub with, let's say, a little more pedigree, designed to appeal to man's best friend. The new canine-centric offerings will include something for every course, including appetizers called meatysticks, a Sunday roast entree, and something called "choc drops" for dessert. There's even an alcohol-free beer to wash it all down.
The pub's owner Paula Leason tells The Guardian that she dreamed up the new menu out of sympathy for her human patrons' four-legged friends. "I just got so sorry for all the dogs we get here, sitting patiently while their owners tuck in."
