What's longer than an American football field, yet fits tidily in a tube of white bread? Why, the world's longest hot dog, of course! In front of a large crowd, a young man from the Empacadora Ponderosa company in Monterrey, Mexico, laid the sausage in its specially prepared bun, garnishing the impressive, record-breaking frank with just the right amount of mustard. Fortunately for the hundreds of spectators who were treated to a small portion of the edible feat, the hot dog passed careful scrutiny by government health inspectors.
