13 Times The Internet Thought Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Were The Worst Moms Ever
Never a dull moment.
While there are plenty of pros to being a mom in the public eye, the extra-intense scrutiny over every single life decision that comes from being in the spotlight is certainly not one of them.
That goes double if you're a reality star who seems to cause controversy just for stepping out of your home, like Kim Kardashian or Kourtney Kardashian.
Kim, who's the mom of Saint, 17 months, and North, nearly 4, with husband Kanye West, and her older sister Kourtney, who's the mom of Mason, 7, Penelope, 4, and Reign, 2, with ex Scott Disick, like most mothers (reality star or not), have made plenty of parenting decisions that elicited unsolicited feedback from moms all over the world.
When Kourtney and Kim ate their placentas.
In a blog post on her paid app, Kim wrote that she had Saint's placenta turned into pills so she could avoid postpartum depression — and her own mother, Kris Jenner, was the one who was against it.
"I just lost my appetite. ... That is the most disgusting
thing I've ever heard," Jenner said on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2013 when Kim contemplated doing the same thing post-North's birth.
For the record, Kourtney did the placenta pill thing with Reign in 2015.
When Kim looked at their phones instead of their kids.
In a moment caught on video by paparazzi, North tripped and fells and was immediately scooped up by her Aunt
Kourtney — all while Kim looks at her phone.
When Kourtney let Penelope wear a lip ring.
After Kourtney posted a photo of a sleeping Penelope wearing a (very obviously fake) lip ring, commenters went crazy. Asked one, "Why would you put that on a child?"

After Kourtney posted a photo of Mason and Peneleope sitting atop a $122,000 Mercedes, commenters accused her of "flaunting [her] wealth," especially in the wake of Kim's traumatic robbery.

day wasn't the benign pic Kim might've thought it was when commenters laid into
her for keeping North's straps too loose (something that can cause injuries and death).
When Kim confessed how she ~really~ felt about pregnancy.
Sometimes, as a pregnant woman, you can feel like a supreme
goddess gifting the universe with new life. And sometimes, like Kim confessed in a blog post, you feel like crap.
"I'm gonna keep it real," Kim wrote on her paid app.
"For me, pregnancy is the worst experience of my life! LOL! I don't enjoy one moment of it and I don't understand people who enjoy it." Many women, unsurprisingly, disagreed with the reality star.
When Kim said she was considering surrogacy.
After two pregnancies, Kim revealed that her placenta accreta
condition will make it impossible (and dangerous) to carry another child — so she and Kanye are looking into surrogacy for a third child. But apparently there is a large, vocal group on the internet that thinks she just doesn't want to get fat.
When Kim admitted to letting the haters get to her.
Kim's never been shy about her body (the nude photo shoots and
mirror selfies should've been the first clue), but after months and months of body shaming during her first pregnancy, she couldn't help but internalize some of the criticism.
"It was the worst!" she told C Magazine. "I couldn't help it, and everyone would say, 'She can't stop eating.' I delivered
at 180, and they were like, 'She's 210 pounds. She's getting dumped because she's too fat,' and all these ridiculous stories. It really took a toll after the fact, when I was losing weight."
She continued, "Before I was always smiling, and so into being out and about. After I had the baby, I was like, these are the same people that made fun of me, and posted the stories that were so awful, calling me fat for something I couldn't control. I don't want to smile for them. I don't want to be out. Even
if I was more confident, I just didn't feel like being that girl who was going to be smiling for every photo. It changed my mood; it changed who I was; it changed my personality a lot."
When Kim posted strange #spon pregnancy content.
Kim faced backlash when she posted a lengthy ad on her instagram
for the morning sickness drug Diclegis. Some were upset she endorsed the
product when she wasn't pregnant at the time, some were weirded out by the
photo she used, and still more weren't pleased with the actual copy of the ad,
which contained clinical language about its side effects.

[North] to be proud of who she is. I want her to be comfortable in her body. I
don't want her to grow up in a world where she is made to feel less-than for
embracing everything it means to be a woman. I am a mother. I am a wife, a
sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur and I am allowed to be sexy."
